Louisiana Christmas Parade

Louisiana is gearing up for the holidays by kicking off the season with the annual Christmas Parade on Saturday, Nov. 27 at 6:00 p.m.

The parade will begin at Sunset Park on Georgia St. and end at 3rd. St. (Hwy. 79).  Line up for the parade begins at 5:00 p.m.  The theme of the parade is “A Victorian Christmas” and trophies will be awarded for 1st., 2nd. and 3rd. place winners.

The community tree lighting will take place immediately following the parade.  Santa will be arriving and will be located inside Hop’s restaurant, to visit with the children and hear their requests for Christmas.

A “Pop-Up” Christmas Market will be located on 4th St., directly across from the community Christmas Tree, offering one of a kind and specialized gifts to choose from. Please be sure to check them out.

The Louisiana Historical Museum will be open and offering cookies, hot chocolate and the opportunity to decorate an ornament to be placed on their tree, all for a $5 donation.  They will also have Claxton Fruit Cakes for sale for just $10.  If you have never been to the museum, you are in for a real treat.  Please be sure to stop in and take a look.

We still have openings for the parade and vendors in the Christmas “Pop-Up” Market.  Parade and Vendor applications will be available until 3:00 p.m. on Friday, November 26, 2021.  If you are interested in entering the parade or would like a Vendor space, please contact Diana Huckstep, LCBA Chairperson at: 314-640-4420 or by email at: Lmocombtrmt@yahoo.com.
