Held every third full weekend in September, the Griggsville Apple Festival brings together family, friends and community for a weekend of fun, giving and showcasing all that is loved about the small town way of life.

From the opening ceremonies and the crowning of the new Apple Festival Queen on Friday, the wonderful Magnificent Mile Parade on Saturday afternoon, and supporting the community during Saturday evening’s Cake & Cookie Auction, the festival provides fun, food and a great time for all.

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 15

4:00 pm: Interview Tea for Queen Contestants at the Historic Skinner House

5:00 pm: Vendors open for business

• Hourly Ticket Table Open- Lucy Gordon, Chairman
• Apple Stand opens for business

6:00 pm: Invocation, Rev Rob Roper, Griggsville United Methodist Church

6:05 pm: Presentation of the American Flag by the Golden Eagle Honor Guard.

• Flag raising by the Griggsville American Legion Post 213.
• National Anthem played by Hunter McConnell

6:10 pm: Hourly Drawing

6:15 pm: Introduction of the Queen Contestants

6:20 pm: Ladema Sappinton Memorial Scholarship Award Presentation

6:25 pm: Friends of the Festival Presentation – Linda Turnbaugh

6:35 pm: Johnny Appleseed & Apple Blossom Contest – Angie Vinyard & Becky Turnage, Chairmen

6:50 pm: Queen Contestants Dance on stage.
