The Community of Faith Thanksgiving Day Dinner will be held on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 23. This free meal is open to anyone wanting to enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving meal.
This year, there are two wonderful opportunities in Louisiana area. Centenary UMC provides deliveries and pickups. The Louisiana Elks Lodge provides dine-in.
As in past years, home deliveries and curbside pickups can be made, but due to the limited number of meals prepared, reservations for that service are required by Tuesday, November 21. Please contact Centenary UMC for reservations and questions, call – 573-754-4412, email – cumclamo@gmail.com, website – https://cumclamo.org until Tuesday and reservations will not be accepted after that day. (An answering machine is available for after-hours calls on Tuesday.)
Delivery times will fall between the hours of 10 a.m. and 12 noon. Delivery covers Louisiana and Clarksville ONLY. Curbside pickup service will be available at Centenary UMC at 7th and South Carolina streets between 11 and 12 noon for everyone. Local area churches and organizations sponsor this annual event, now in its 28th year. Volunteers are still needed for preparation and delivery. For more information, call Vicky Keely at 573-754-0149 or Mark Haddock at 314-221-5458.
